If you´re like me who´s looking forward to enjoying the summer by diving in a clear blue beach or a very inviting pool, then you must be in the look out for the current women´s swimsuit trends. This year´s swimsuits are mostly about prints and revived vintage appeal. I´m really excited to spend a three-week-vacay in Thailand exploring her beaches this summer so I´m deciding which of these five trendy swimsuits should I wear.
As you know, nautical stripes are back as a trend for spring and summer and they echo even in swimsuits too. Whether you´re into a one-piece or a two-piece swimwear, stripe print is really gorgeous. If your goal is to look slim, then opt for vertical stripes. But if you want to appear bigger especially on top, choose the wider, horizontal stripes.
Pastel color is another trend that´s back for spring and summer. But when it comes to swimsuits, pastels are done in graphics, mixed with prints and patterns. This trend speaks of total girliness plus it´s refreshing to the eye. So if you want to embrace total femininity, pastel swimsuits are for you.
Animal Print Swimsuits
Animal print swimsuits used to be too heavy and overly serious, but not anymore. This year´s animal print swimsuit trend is about having fun in wild but gorgeous colored patterns in a one wrap swimwear or a set of bandeau, loop top, or strapless swimsuit. There´s no more worry about looking matronly in an animal print swimsuit.
That glamor vintage appeal is revived for this year´s retro swimsuits. Whether it´s an indigo one piece, a polka dot two piece, or a half nautical boyleg maillot you´re eyeing for, there´s no denying that retro swimwear has a class.
Floral Print Swimsuits
Floral print swimsuits are your alternative to girly pastel swimsuits. This trend plays on sweetness and flirtiness. If you ask me, my favorite is this floral strapless maillot. But if you´re thinking of making your hips appear wider, then a skirted bottom would be perfect for you.
How about you? Which swimsuit trend would you wear this summer?
