Our friend Deniz organized a trunk show for Stella & Dot. The event was held at her cozy apartment unit. Stella & Dot might be a very well-known brand in the US and the UK but it´s new in Germany, only a couple of years or three?, and still penetrating. This is what I wore to the show.
I went for a sequined empire waist bubble dress in black and purple leopard print teamed with nude/black leopard pumps. This is basically breaking the rules. Aren´t we told not to wear matching or clashing animal prints at once?
Encouraging girls to host trunk shows is a clever idea for the brand. The show host gets a commission from the total sale of that event, encouraging girls to make money while getting together and having fun.
The show was nothing big, only good for Deniz´s circle of friends. But the trunk was full! Lots of pretty jewelry – necklaces, earrings, arm bands, bracelets, cuffs, and a few of leather clutches.
When the Stella & Dot stylist and pr person, Daniela, learned that I´m a fashion blogger, she gave me a brief history of the brand and its founder. She also briefed me about the status of Stella & Dot Deutschland market, the trunk shows and make money from home programs of the brand, and styling gigs.
I tried on this gold snake cuff, a´la Angelina Jolie. I´ve never forgotten Angie´s glamour in the red carpet wearing that famous snake cuff.
Girls feasted on the cakes, cookies and cupcakes while diciding on which items to purchase. Don´t fashionistas adore cupcakes?
