The sheer trend, which is made of organza fabric, has been making waves since 2019. The trend lingered and it continues to appear on every runway show since. Now the question is: Is it worth it to invest on a sheer, organza piece?
Organza is normally used for dresses that are worn for special events such as weddings – wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses – but as it becomes a trend, we´re now seeing many everyday wear accented with organza fabric. We´re talking sheer tops, dresses with sheer skirts, and anything accented with something sheer.
We no longer need to attend a wedding in order to wear an organza fabric, we can even wear it to work! And not only that, we don´t need to splurge so much money on a dress in order to feel and look like a million bucks. Below are some of the organza pieces that I highly recommend.
1. Ruffle Top Blouses Tulle Midi Puffy Skirt
If you have fifty dollars to invest on a sheer piece, go for this organza top and skirt set. The top is totally sheer which will showcase your brassier – either a black or a white depending on your preference, although I´d go for a white – or you can layer under it a fitting camisole.
The skirt is a gorgeous tulle with a nice puff and provides decent coverage. The look is very flattering although the only caveat is it can make you feel very hot when worn on a hot day.
2. White Lace Organza Dolly Shirt Blouse Top with Bell Sleeves

An organza fabric may be sheer but you don´t have to go all-sheer if that doesn´t make you feel comfortable. In fact, you can still do the sheer trend by choosing a top such as this white blouse with beel sleeves that has a lining and a mesh organza finished.
It is safe to wear to work or to any event where you´re required to dress up because it´s very elegant looking and also comfortable to wear (thanks to its lining).
3. Formal Fascinator Hat
Another way to inject sheer to your wardrobe is through a hat. Even a simple outfit will quickly look glamorous and expensive if you add an organza fascinator hat. You can pick a simple black dress and then finish the look with an organza sun hat for a church outfit.
4. Organza Dressy Part Shawl

One of my favorite ways to accent an outfit is by adding a scarf. I love scarves and I have many of them in different sizes, colors and fabric. Of course an organza scarf is in my collection too. I have two of them and I´ve worn one to a wedding.
This metallic sheer scarf can be worn with a simple pullover and jeans outfit, as a party shawl or a wrap for an evening dress. There´s no way to elevate an outfit quicker than adding an organza long scarf.
5. Scoop Neck Organza Sleeve Sweater

If you want to go sheer while still keeping things classy and not revealing, go for a top with sheer sleeves. This black sweater top with organza sleeves, for example, is very charming and if you wear it tucked in a high-waisted pencil midi skirt and finished with a pair of black stockings and black pointed-toe high heeled pumps, the puff of your sheer sleeves will make you look like someone who´d just walked out from a runway stage.
6. Tie Neck Pearl Contrast Mesh Long Sleeve Blouse Top

Here´s a cheaper version of the organza top in #5. Also a top with sheer sleeves but with lesser puff. This is perfect for low key days when you want to add a punch to your jeans outfit without having to baby your sheer top. Just go and enjoy it.
7. Floral and Jacquard Printed Organza Dresses

Of course I had to include some organza dresses. Because the fabric is stiff, you will notice that the skirts are often puffy with a flare, making your dress look like a princess dress. These dresses look best with bare legs, no stockings, and light colored high heels.
8. Organza Tutu Skirt
Here´s an organza tutu skirt which is super versatile. You can wear it as a midi skirt, as a maternity dress, or as a cute mini tube dress worn with a belt. Get in touch with your girl within and enjoy the bouncing and puffing of your tutu skirt.
9. Unique Casual Organza Midi Dress
Looking for a dress that is one of a kind? Although it´s not for everyone, there may be days when you want to dress up, standout in a crowd, and just wear something that is completely unique. Try this loose tunic dress with a comfy fit. Wear it with some black, big sunglasses and a pair of edgy ankle boots.
10. Sheer Sleeves Organza Jumpsuit
This is another way to wear organza to work. Instead of a black top with sheer sleves worn with a skirt, why not opt for a black jumpsuit with sheer sleeves? It lessens the time you need to plan an outfit and prepare in the morning, plus you´ll be looking stunning at work whole day.
When it comes investing on an organza piece, it´s important that you identify your goal. Do you want something that will impress on special days or that will best give you your money´s worth by being versatile and can be easily mixed and matched?
