Pastel is back as a trend for spring, yet again. We´ve seen different shades of pastel on the runway – from dresses, suit pants, skirts and shorts sets – that it makes us think, “how do I incorporate this trend into my own style?”
If there´s one takeaway I got from observing several pastel looks from the SS2018 runway, is that the way to give this trend a fresh take is by wearing your pastel with killer shoes. Think buckled, pointed-toe boots, edgy strap sandals, and smart mules.
But as I´ve said in the past, pastel will always spring back as trend every spring. So if you´re thinking of getting yourself another piece of pastel, make sure it´s something you can always rework. Make sure it´s a practical investment.
Anything backless is sexy. Take this lavender backless sweater top and pair it with an off-white pleated maxi skirt for a dress-y day, or with faded jeans for casual days.
I know that black evening dresses are currently really hot but why not captivate the crowd with a one-of-a-kind slate blue gown? This princess seam is truly stunning.
A moto jacket in blush will go with anything. It toughens any outfit but still keeps that feminine luxe to it. You can wear it with a head-to-toe pastel combo or with a little black dress.
A blush pink maxi dress has that airy feel to it. It makes you think of wonderland where everything is nice and beautiful.
Wondering what´s the best way to clash with distressed jeans? This blush in pink faux fur moto jacket.
Sometimes you just need a nice varsity jacket to throw over a tank top or to finish a pair of well-worn jeans. Well, why not make it a pastel jacket?
It´s a lil` bit casual but still good for the office. Team it with your white pants or white knee-length skirts.
For weddings and garden parties this coming spring – this drapey, backless silhouette in peach!
Don´t be deceived, this sweater dress has a deep V-neck on the back. Wear it with thigh-high suede boots.
Sometimes, all you need to get on-trend are a pair of pastel pumps.
What a sight! It´s a pastel pink and also has that sheer layer top. Wear it with nude heels. Hair up.
A great way to juxtapose the trend is with a hint of retro. Wear this swing dress with some cool boots.
What are your thoughts on the come back of pastel trend for springs?
