Every morning when I take I walk, I see chartreuse all around me. It made me realize that this color is a favorite of nature come spring. But in spring, we rarely get warm days in spite of the generous amount of sun that we enjoy. Although I could do layering with this color, I want it to take center stage. So I decided to wear chartreuse as a transitional color for summer. If you´re wondering how to incorporate chartreuse to your wardrobe this summer, here are my six tips.
Table of Contents
1. Chartreuse Drop Waist Dress
If you´re looking for comfy but still cute and flattering little dress, you should try a drop waist dress. You can go casual with it or you can also go elegant depending on your mood. Remember that you can also change the silhouette of the dress by adding a slim waist belt. When you do, you´ll get a trumpet skirt.
For this look, I just want to go soft with white sandals and a white woven handbag. Very summer!
2. Chartreuse Mini Dresses
1) Too Hot to Trot Dress, 2) Side of the Story Dress, 3) Dee Elle Skater Dress
Don´t shy your closet from bright chartreuse mini dresses this season. From tubes to sleeveless, all you need is the guts to bring attention to your cute get-up. Of course you can always add a cardigan or a bolero, but make sure to always team your dress with an equally gorgeous pair of shoes.
3. Chartreuse High-Low Wrap Skirt
I find this outfit really dramatic, I´m in love with the beauty of this wrap skirt in chartreuse. You only need to wear it with black to let the color float out. Wear it to a dinner date with your love or to a special evening function.
4. Chartreuse Print Maxi Dresses
Whatever is the style of maxi dress that you´re digging for summer, remember to incorporate chartreuse in your maxi collection. Whether printed or color dyed, this hue will bring balance to the striking vibrancy of your airy dresses.
5. Chartreuse Leather Pointed Pumps
I love, love leopard print and in order to honor my adoration for this print, I´d like to wear it this summer with a vibrant pair of shoes. Any bright color goes with this print, which includes chartreuse. Do you see how romantic is this look?
6. Chartreuse and Light Grey Dress
I also believe that less is more. In this color block dress, even if you have less chartreuse in it, since it´s paired with white the color just really come out. I´d like to keep the accessories neutral, and I´m sure I´ll wear this look on a warm, humid summer day.
What do you think of chartreuse? How would you wear this hue in summer?
