We often get drowned in the seriousness of life and the daily grind of our career that we forget to play it light and whimsy once in a while. Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw, the tutu skirt has become an epitome of modern whimsy for many women including smart and overly achieving chics.
So whether you´re a type A, B or C, if you want to relax a little and incorporate the beautiful tutu skirt to your lifestyle, here are three ways of doing it without appearing kid-ish. `Cause yeah, I´m all about elegance and chicness.
1. Embellished Crop Top + Tutu Skirt
Top, Skirt, Clutch, Coat, Pumps
This pale green embellished tutu skirt comes with a partner, a cropped embellished top with elegant necklace collar. Because they´re a set, you need not make it a science on how to mix and match, it´s pretty much straight-forward. I also found these Badgley Mischka peep-toe pumps to be a perfect match for the look. They´re specifically made for this set.
But in order to break the head-to-toe whimsy, we´re going to add a shadow floral print clutch (or bag) to inject an element of the now. If you´re wearing this outfit in fall, add a dark blue short coat to complement your light combo.
2. Detailed Pink Shirt + Embellished Black Tutu Skirt
Shirt, Skirt, Clutch, Jacket, Pumps
Did you know that you can wear a tutu skirt to work too? Or to any professional functions. Choose this embellished tutu skirt in black and pair it with a toughened-up shirt in white or light pink.
To look professional, add a cropped tailored suit jacket, but to look tough, a black leather jacket. Your shoes include black strap heels, black pumps, or these leopard print pumps.

3. Ivory Top + Embellished Pale Pink Tutu Skirt
Top, Skirt, Bag, Sunglasses, Pumps
I created a really feminine look with this full tutu skirt featuring light twirl of embellishment. I teamed it with an ivory embellished cropped top and nude patent dress pumps. The result is so light, like you´re dancing in the air. But to keep it in-touch with the reality, this exotic leather tote bag did the job.
Other tops that would work with this skirt is—dark brown shirt, red top, pink satin shirt, or maroon blouse.
