Sweaters are everyone´s cold days staple, they´re cozy, snuggly, and a deal player. But are you familiar with the four basic necklines? Have you got them all in your closet? It´s interesting to know that as fashion evolves, sweaters and their necklines evolve too.
Chunky Cowl Neck
Cowl neck is everyone´s bestfriend, it flatters any type of figure. You options start from poncho style cowl neck to peplum-inspired hem with chunky cowl. If you´re looking for modern sophistication, opt for a draped cashmere cowl sweater.
Mock Neck
A mock neck is like a turtleneck but its knit band is short and it does not fold over. Look for chunky stitched or raised stitched for a super cozy feel.
Turtleneck
Turtleneck elongate your neck, it also makes you look slimmer. This season, try a relaxed bright hue turtleneck sweater or an updated fisherman sweater with ribbed cage and turtleneck.
Funnel Neck
Funnel neck is typically not your best choice for cold days but recently, we´ve seen this neck style spinned around to brave the temperature. Think contrast banding details for the funnel neckline and edges of Theory´s houndstooth sweater, or Thakoon´s rolled funnel collar on a cable knit.
