Even if summer is just around the corner, stores start to release their fall collections and you should start to get inspired for your autumnal outfits. Cold seasons are very often synonyms of dark and cold colours such as brown, burgundy and black.
However, on the fall-winter 2015 runways, pastels often took over. Even if you wear most of your baby pink, light blue, pale yellow and mint during spring and summer, it’s still possible to bring them into fall without getting cold.
Gucci mastered the pastels for fall trend with their last collections and two outfits are quite easy to recreate. Instead of trying to put on your light pale skirt or your beautiful baby blue pants on, get a pastel trench coat. Not only will it allow you to stay warm, but you will stay trendy even during the colder days.
For the first style, go completely pink. Choose a pink trench coat or simple coat and wear a dress of the same colour underneath. Wear a dress with a turtle neck to protect yourself without having to wear a scarf. Pair this outfit with knee high neutral boots and a neutral handbag. It’s easy and simple, but it will bring you some colour to the darker days. Since pastel trench coat can be hard to find, you could choose to get a simple coat or just a scarf to start.
As an alternative, you can choose a totally different colour : be creative ! At Gucci, we also saw a practically identical look, but in mint. Mint is such a trendy colour at the moment so wearing it later after summer should not be too hard. Again, choose a mint coloured and a turtlenecked dress for the complete look. Here the dress is a little bit more elegant, so you can play with the outfit depending on whether you are going to work or at an event. You could reuse a pastel dress that you wear during the summer and just add a cardigan or a nice jacket. Again with this look you can wear your favourite neutral accessories.
If you are going to a chic event, you could pair your outfit with a neutral clutch and high heels boots to bring more elegance to the look.
This is just one of the many ways to bring pastels into your fall wardrobe. Often, people might be scared to keep on wearing these summer colours during the autumn or the winter, but be daring.
Let me know how you wear pastel during the fall.
