Every year, we wait and see what is trending in the Fashion World. I was very excited to see new designs and take away a whole lot of inspiration. I am particularly excited to see Military is still in trend and going very strong. Also, a favorite trend I have been delving into is Floral Prints. While the fragrance of fashion weeks still linger, I bring you the list of the top trends to watch for in Fall 2012.
1. Derek Lam (via Stylist.com), 2. Peter Som (via Harper’s Bazaar)
1. Leather
I have been noticing the use of leather and more leather lately. Not only is leather used as a highlighting tool in piping or placement, it is now head to toe leather.
2. Floral Prints
Next, floral prints are making a big entrance. Not only did your grandma rocked this look, now you can be stylish in floral prints.
3. Louis Vuitton (via Vogue UK), 4. J. Mendel (via Harper’s Bazaar)
3. Statement Hats
This is one trend I am going to definitely try. Love floppy hats and I don’t mind going bigger and more outrageous.
4. Tribal Print
Tribal prints are also known as Urban Jungle in some parts of the world. The whole earthy color tones are simple and majestic. Spice up your outfit with a touch of tribal.
5. Chloe comme Parris (via Refinery29.com), 6. Burberry (via fabsugar.com)
5. Menswear
I have been seeing a lot of Women’s fashion taken from menswear. Designers are going with a more androgynous look.
6. Military
Military pieces are always in development. The designs evolve so fantastically over the years. I love such details as the toggles and even epaulettes.
7. Twenty8Twelve (via fabsugar.com), 8. Joe Fresh (via refinery29.com)
7. High Necklines
I love high necklines. I know I’m crazy but I wear turtlenecks even in the summer. To see designers implementing the funnel necklines or even funkier necklines, I am so excited to see what’s to come.
8. Slouchy Bottoms
We have been immersed in the skinny years. The form fitted bottoms are slowly moving towards a relaxed look. I cannot wait to try on a slouchy pair of pants with some high heels.
9. Roberto Cavalli (via fabsuagar.com) 10. Burberry (via fabsugar.com)
9. Metallics
Metallics have been huge last season and is going stronger this season. Adding metallic to an outfit, gives a more of an 80s party look that is very much coming back.
10. Flare Hemlines
The flared hemlines of skirts and dresses gives a classic even vintage feel to a look. I love how more feminine one looks in peplum.
I hope to see more trends that fit my style choices.
