Fashion Week is an exciting and fascinating experience! Designers work year round to get their creations made and you can tell a lot of work goes into getting the image and designs just right. I find the fashion world like an energetic, artful place where works of art can be worn, draped to be admired.
Whenever the fashion powerhouses showcase their hard work, I always scope out the hottest dress trends. While many dress styles are classic runway, Spring 2013 provided some very interesting dress concepts.
1. Bollywood With Love
Such rich and vibrant colors! Bollywood dresses have hit it off with flair and glamour. The intricate details from the gold to the lace styles, Bollywood dresses would make any woman feel exotic and adventurous.

2. Mad for Florals
Spring brings May flowers is an old adage and many designers know that florals are still the very popular for Spring 2013. The feminine florals are propped against blush textiles for even more sophistication. The gowns are silhouetted with Mermaid or a simple A-line skirt.
Lela Rose, Naeem Khan, Preen
3. Shades of Gray
Has everyone been drooling for Grey? I mean the color Gray! Even designers have been busy dedicating a fashion tribute to one of the most talked about novels of 2012. The color Gray has been totally transformed from drab to one of the hottest colors for Spring 2013.
Zac Posen, Helmut Lang, Sachin and Babi
4. Warrior Woman
What strips of leather can do to accentuate a woman’s natural curves! Leather has been a staple fashion style for a few years now, but we’ve mostly seen panels of leather. The strips of leather brings more feminine touches that sways to a classic but sexy librarian look.

5. Graceful Lace
Another classic style to appear on the runways, sweet and modern lace is an ultimate sophisticated style. Drapes of lace can soften a daring dress or create a slimmer silhouette.

6. Seductive Skin Baring
Cutouts begin to appear last year and continue to be a big hit. Showing little bits of luscious skin is a contrast against the colors and textures of fabrics.
Cushnie et Ochs, Reem Acra, Versace
7. Retro Stripes
Once considered a faux pas to wear, stripes are making huge uproar in the design community. Be aware of the stripes’ placement on your own body. Because when it’s right, you will look classy and curvacious.

This Spring 2013 will bring many style updates to the fashion world. I cannot wait to see what the runways will showcase!
