I went to my favorite shopping boutique the other day and I came home with two gorgeous blazers, one in houndstooth print and the other in white shade. When I arrived home, I went straight to my closet to hang them. It´s then when I noticed … I do have a big love for blazers and it becomes very evident during fall. I think it´s because in fall (and also in spring) it´s possible to get away with light layering and blazers are the quickest thing to reach for.
Whether you´re adding new blazers to your fall wardrobe or you´re keen on reworking the jackets that you already have, here are six nice tips you can apply.
Black Blazer and Pleated Gold Skirt
Go girly in pleated gold skirt this fall; but if baring those tootsies is just too freezing, opt for sexy black ankle boots. Team your skirt with a refine patterned top such as slim stripes and collect everything together with a black tailored blazer.
Magenta Pop and Leather Pants
It´s not always when you find an adorable pink blazer such as this magenta number. It´s awesome to wear with a pair of black leather pants, like a fragile character toughened up with leather, and finished off with black pumps. My tip, wear black socks for your pumps.
Balance an Overwhelming Print
I know I won´t even dare baring my abs in fall given that I´ve a really weak tummy against the cold, but I like the idea of this look for either a printed pant or a printed long dress. I´m thinking of a black turtleneck pullover worn tucked into this tribal print pants and balanced with a long white blazer. Black pointed toe boots would be perfect to complete the look.
Dress Up Your Jeans
And of course, jeans are always in my list of essentials especially in colder seasons. I like dressing up a pair of jeans for a laidback dinner date with my hubby or for going out and shopping.
Balance a Crop Length
Since I saw Victoria Beckham wearing a burgundy print shirt, I figured I also want to create an ensemble with this shade. How about styling a burgundy crop pants with a printed collared shirt and toning the result with a black tuxedo?
Cover a Sleeveless Flare Dress
Fit and flare dress remains my favorite silhouette. How can I transition a skater dress for fall? I´m thinking of layering this black belted fit and flare dress with black tights, black ankle boots, and a white tailored blazer. The result would be perfect an attire for evening dinner dates and parties.
What are your thoughts? How are you updating your fave blazers for fall?
