Warm days are a good excuse to rock those nerve-wracking, attention-grabbing, daring necklaces, when you wear less clothes and bare more skin. Although you can´t find those gigantic jewelries in my closet, such as thick layered crystals and stones, I do know that they´re the hottest trends of today—the bigger and more daring, the better.
But although I can´t walk the talk, I have some simple + easy style tips for you if you´re into these kinds of outfit polishing. Keep it classy and tone it down. Here are three ways you can wear a daring necklace this summer.
1. Tone it and blend it.

How do you create an outfit to go with a short leather necklace featuring three strands of different-sized, silver-plated beads and crafted colored crystals? Start with its colors.
As you can see, the necklace has many colors, pretty much a lovely spring/summer theme. Take at most three of those colors for your entire outfit. For this look, I used the blue, maroon and black. This approach will allow the necklace to blend in your attire instead of it sticking out dominantly. You´ll be the one wearing it, instead of it wearing you.
2. Complement, complement.

How do you wear a unique + investment necklace without announcing to the world how much money you blew on it? And how do you keep things effortless without it appearing “too much”? Your goal must be to complement. For example, if the jewelry is heavy, balance it with a layering of lightweight pieces. If it is silver, clash it with nice colors.
In this outfit, the grey faceted Swarovski crystals necklace will take center stage if worn with a tube red dress. To avoid that, I added a neutral-colored elbow-sleeve cardigan which matched with the nude strap high heels. Notice too that the layering of knee-length dress and long cardigan brought elegance to the look.
3. Keep it casual.

Boho is the new daring. If spending too much money on a jewelry isn´t in your vocabulary, that´s great! You can opt instead for a hanging necklace with cute tiny accents in gold. Wear it with a nice boho-print romper, add a colored tote bag, a pair of flat sandals and sunglasses, and you have a versatile + comfy outfit that´s perfect for a summer vacay, weekend get-togethers, or an afternoon stroll at the park.
Fashion have always break rules, with new designs, ideas and concepts that make a brand shine out from other competitors. And it´s something that UNO de 50 jewelry has done as a priority since it was born in the 90’s and that is still present in their new campaign they just launched, called “Guilty of being me”. With this new campaign, they`re still standing out for original and daring designs and offering new and surprising collections each year.
I recently received their press release the “Guilty of being me” campaign I just mentioned, featuring daring necklaces under this concept. They try to invite women to lead a life with self-confidence, positivity and optimism, just being original and full of personality. And you, are you proud of who you are? Or do you deny it?
I know that not everyone is brave or comfortable enough to go daring with jewelries. But if you´re into it, remember that while it´s currently on-trend, the secret to achieving a polished style lies on your ability to wear it, and not the other way around.
