Sometimes, the things we want are the things we don´t need. And the things we love and admire are the things that aren´t practical.
Will you rather look pretty but not comfy? Or will you rather spend on something really cute even if you know you won´t wear it often?
For me, I really try to be practical with my purchases, at least since I became a mom. But if it´s something that really makes my heart beat fast, and if I can´t get over it after a few days, then I know I have to have it.
I`m not worried if I won´t wear the piece often, the only questions I ask myself are, “Will I wear it? And when?” I always believe that it´s as important to build the “wow” section in your wardrobe as much as the “practical” section.
That said, the pieces I am featuring in this post aren´t splurge items, but aside from being cute, they may be impractical in ways that they can be a lil` uncomfortable. You be the judge.
Table of Contents
1. Dramatic bell sleeves
Off shoulders are still trendy but we know they´re impractical because of how the style limits your movement. But what sold me this top are its dramatic bell sleeves. Oh, how gorgeous.
2. Cascading Wide-Leg Pants
These wide leg pants make me think of dancing salsa at the next barbecue party I´ll attend. They´re super cute, right? But only if you´re wearing them with sexy high heels.
3. Double Flare
This dress calls for super feminine movement. Small steps and few arm movements are necessary for it to remain put-together.
4. Ruffles + ruffles
Cascading ruffles are always irresistible but you got to be confident in baring those legs and shoulders in order to make the most of this beauty.
5. Billowing sleeves
It´s a pretty evening dress with cut-outs in front and back. Just make sure you have a cover up ready when it starts to feel cold.
6. A flouncy high-low
Yet another cute dress with ruffles and cut-outs. But since its daring décolleté calls for you to go bra-less, it´s impractical if you´re like me who depends on foam cups.
7. Printed heels!
Printed heels, if you´ve picked the right pair, are striking. But when it comes to mixing and matching, they´re limited to the colors that are in its print, as well as to the black and the white.
So tell me, girls, which of the above pieces is the most impractical for you? And which one will snatch for spring?
