There are many reasons I love my Ellen Vicius Orient Express. It´s beautiful, well-made, elegant and versatile. It´s my go-to bag for any event. It´s simply reliable whether it´s for practicality or style-wise. I wear it with (fit and flare) dresses to church, with shorts suit to business meetings, and in this outfit post, I´m showing you one way I could wear it to work this summer.
For quite a time office wear has evolved into mostly smart trousers. But even though we have an array of options for smart work-appropriate trousers, pencil skirt remains the most powerful piece for work. But since it´s summer, I stay away from heavy colors such as black, gray and maroon, and I opt instead for pastel color pencil skirts. For this look, I rocked a beige pencil skirt.
As you can see, this outfit is a tonal combination. Dark brown for my top, brown for my slim belt, beige for skirt and pumps, and maroon for my shoes´ heels and sole, and bordeaux for my bag. I´ve said it here several times, tonal combination will make you look taller.
Notice how my Ellen Vicius Orient Express Designer Bag (click this link to read my review) complemented the look. It´s not much about clashing, it´s about letting the beauty of the bag standout as a complementary piece. If you have a statement-making bag, let it do the talking.
If there´s anything I´d like you to take away from this outfit post, it´s this – “invest in a beautiful, reasonably priced designer bag which could take your outfit to any event and between seasons”. Ellen Vicius bags are created with such goal in mind.
