There are two things that I love about fall — colored leaves and beautiful coats. I love taking pictures at the park, especially under the trees, and I also love watching gorgeous coats that are strutted in the street.
In fact, this is a game I often play with my husband during fall, I look for women wearing a striking, stunning coat and then I´d make him search for them in the crowd. This doesn´t happen much in winter though, because during the coldest months, off to the wet streets are the black parkas.
If you too love beautiful and striking coats, here are the seven most-wanted styles of coat this season.
Table of Contents
1. The Pink Coat
The other week I announced here on the blog that powdery pink is a hot trend for fall. Did you see that post? Well, darling, baby pink is an awesome topper to put on if you want to look neat, feminine and SO put-together. Love this double-breasted blush coat from Jessica Simpson, it´s both girly and sophisticated. I also adore its funnel collar.

2. The Cocoon Coat
I have a big adoration for cocoon coats, whether they´re boxy oversized or normal fit, because of its warm and eclectic attitude. A cocoon coat is difficult to put in a box because it often comes with subtle or bold surprises. That said, I’m really drawn to this Helene Berman´s take on cocoon. I love the freshness of its color; I picked the lavender but it´s also available in an equally fabulous bright pink. It´s collarless, it has bracelet sleeves with drop-shoulder seams.
3. The Military Wool Coat with Fur
Jessica Simpson Womens Double Breasted Military Wool Coat with Fur Collar, $280.00 now $196.00
Everyone´s going crazy with Jessica Simpson´s version of the military wool coat for fall. As you can see, blending wool with the right amount of fur is not only chic, it´s also work appropriate! Be sure to put your hands on this cutest style, working gals, because it can be your reliable go-to topper for work and even for special events. If there are times when taking off the fur is more necessary, that is made possible by its removable faux-fur collar feature.

4. The Bright Coat
If you don´t have a bright coat for fall, you´re missing on the spices for a style fall wardrobe. But if you don´t have a bright cobalt blue coat, you´re missing on this most-coveted, always on-trend fall shade. So take advantage of this open front coat from aryn, for less.
5. The Smart Double-Breasted Coat
Tommy Hilfiger Women’s Wool Double-Breasted Coat, $300.00 now $225.00
If I see you wearing this military-inspired coat from Tommy Hilfiger, I will have one thought in mind, that you´re an overachieving chic. It doesn´t matter if you work in the corporate world, if you´re a teacher, a self-employed or a work-from-home chic, or a stay-at-home-wife, if you can pull off the smartness of this coat, that only says one thing – that you´re confident on your skin and you live an authentic self.
6. The Drop-Waist Coat
I reserve the best for last not only because they´re the best, but because they´re also investment toppers. Now I know that not all of us can afford a super expensive outerwear, and I know too that many of us are too smart to spend too much money on a coat, but listen, I don´t care which school of thought you´re enrolled in when it comes to finances, I know that you can´t disagree with me when I say that this drop-waist coat speaks EFFORTLESS. Enough said.

7. The Suede Accented Coat
I know that money can´t buy happiness, but money surely can buy joy. Don´t you think your heart is going to be filled with joy if you can take home this pastel coat which is a wool-blend with suede accents? That notched collar kind of tempt me to think, why I´m ain´t rich?
Now tell me, girl, which power coat are you this fall?
