Question: Green Grab Bag
I have a bright light green grab bag, I am not sure what to match it up with. Please help. ~ Chin
Hi Chin, thank you for your question. Green lets a person shine at any time. And contrary to what other fashionistas might say, this color is actually easy to style. Since your green comes in a grab bag, we´ll create an outfit based from this accessory.
Remember that any bright color goes along well with these basic colors – white, black, nude and silver. It´s important to bear this in mind in choosing your base color.
Tricolor-combo
One look that I suggest you to create is a tricolor-combination. Looking at my color scheme (pictured below), you can take three colors from green, yellow-green, lime green, deep green, orange, light orange, yellow-orange, maroon, brown, purple, violet and lavender. Just choose three and create an outfit, it does not matter which color is bigger, they´ll all work harmoniously.

In the outfit board I created above, I chose white as the base, your white jeans, and paired it with an orange sleeveless top with bow tie and black/gold pumps. Your bangles complement the rest of the possible color scheme which are purple, brown and orange.
Even your lipstick shade is integrated in this color-combo. I don´t think red lips is going to work for this look, I feel that the red will make things overwhelming even if it matches your shoe soles, so I opted for a Scarlet Rouge blend, nude lips is an option too.
Note: white and black here are considered base colors so they´re not counted in the combo set. 🙂
Complement Color-Combo
This second look is made of two complementing colors with base color as black. The two complementing colors here are light green and fuchsia, again, as suggested by my color scheme.
The idea of this outfit is taking two colors from yellow-green, deep green, lime green, fuchsia, pink, maroon, brown and create a little match. In the second outfit board I created above, I chose a fuchsia one-shoulder top to go with a black pencil skirt and black lacy pumps. I went for a light green choker to match with your grab bag. A maroon or red thick bangle can be your additional accessory.

Remember, you can take other two complementing colors from the second color scheme above. I hope this helps. 🙂

Ooh, I love this post because I love reading about color theory!
I love the first citrus delish’ set. Isn’t it great how we can learn so much from arts? When you paint, you learn to tickle the senses with juxtaposing contrary hues;)
Wao! I have a bright green bag that I don’t know what to wear with myself… these are great ideas, thanks!
