A lot has been said about a colored coat but it all boils down to it being a great alternative to and arguably more versatile than a dark coat. Wearing colored coats for fall means getting creative with it with the help of a slim contrast belt or highlighting it by working with soft neutrals such as white. But when it comes to street outfits, why not bring a bright-colored coat out of its elements by creating even daring ensembles? Today, let´s get inspired.
Neon Green Coat Clashed with Blue
I heard that French people don´t wear green, what about a neon green? Green isn´t my color too but I´m warming towards it. However, if it´s a neon green coat that´s in question, it´s definitely a “yes”! The color really comes out once teamed with black and yet the idea is to add another striking color to balance the attention and not focussed only on the coat. A blue skirt and a blue clutch, in addition to a black turtleneck and black tights, are perfect items to complete the look.
Red Colored Coat with Black Accessories
I wore a heavy-layered red trench coat in winter. But for fall and spring, it´s great to wear your red colored coat as a dress with bare legs and a pair of sexy black heels as seen here on Jessica Chastain.
Pink Colored Coat as a Cape
If you can´t find the perfect purple coat, a pink colored coat also works for this street outfit idea. Wear your pink coat as a cape over a black (trousers) suit. Opt for a pink print top to layer under your suit. The peak of the print matching your bright cape is super chic. Add black accessories – pumps, handbag, and sunglasses.
Orange Colored Coat with Yellow Print Dress
If you love colors as much as Solange Knowles, then the outfit she was seen wearing outside David Letterman’s show must inspire you. She wore a gorgeous orange coat over a canary yellow dress with matching pumps and clutch. In mimicking this look, you can create some variations too, such as choosing a bright yellow floral dress instead of a yellow monochrome, and swapping a yellow clutch for an ivory lace.
