Say “bye” to the cleavage, darlings, because for spring, shoulders are the main statement-maker. If you took a good look on the spring 2016 runway shows, you must have noticed that each fashion designer created his/her own interpretation of the cold shoulder trend — from cutouts to off-shoulder, even asymmetrical or a combo of all three. Yet one thing is clear, no one was left out on declaring the cold (or bared) shoulder as a spring trend.
Below are some of the outfits and pieces that will inspire you to embrace this trend this spring. Shop the Cold Shoulder Trend

When I was still in the university in early 2000s in the Philippines, I remember how big the shoulder cutout as trend was. I had a shoulder cutout top, and I saw some of my stylish young instructors also wore the trend. Its comeback brought me back some good old uni-memories.
1. Cold-Shoulder Dress
This dress isn´t only cool on the shoulders, it´s also cool on your entire body because it´s made of silk. What´s more is its draping shoulders resemble the spring´s bell sleeve trend. What a gorgeous transitional piece for spring and summer.
2. Cold-Shoulder Bubble Top
For a casual chic look in spring, dress up your black denim skinny pants with this cold-shoulder, bubble top and some sexy black pumps. Add a red bag for a nice color contrast with the black.
3. More Shoulder Cutouts
Whether it´s a dress or a top that you´re eyeing to have for spring, remember that this style can be worn casual and effortless or stylish and elegant. I´m digging that stripe body con!
I´ve always been fascinated with off-shoulder tops and dresses, I find them really cute and feminine. But truth be told, I`m not gutsy enough to don one. Perhaps this should change this season. Perhaps this blog post will finally inspire me to actually brave the trend.
4. Tropez Striped Shirting Off-The-Shoulder Dress
This off-shoulder dress is very similar to that of Paul & Joe`s on the runway. But this one has a brighter tone and this is actually by Trina Turk. Wearing this cute number will make you look as fresh as a baby, thanks to its baby blue and white, very refined stripes. You can style it with flats, but why not match it with spring´s vintage accessories that are back as new?
5. Peasant Top
For dinner dates or elegant evening parties, show off your ever stylish and trendy personality by rocking this lace peasant top in ecru with some black culottes. Topped with nude lace up strap sandals, the result is coveted!
6. More Off-Shoulders
The off shoulder trend is also available in dresses, tops and rompers. I´m digging this ruffle off-the-shoulder stripe top from Mara Hoffman.
Go ahead and claim the cold shoulder trend as your own.
