I adore the versatility of technicolor coats and how their brightness contrasts the graying, somewhat dull environment. In today´s outfit post, I wore my beloved red trench coat paired with chocolate tights, brown boots, pink pullover, black tube scarf and gloves. My favorite accent to this look is the chic, leopard-print hat.
The trench isn´t thick enough for a -1°C so I layered it up with two pull-overs, one over the other beneath the coat. My tights are already thick and yet I still wore a stretchable leg warmer tights under it. I´m not a fan of cold weather.
In planning for this outfit, I started with the coat. Its color is already a statement so I wanted to make sure it stands out by keeping most of the pieces neutral. I love the peek of fuchsia under the coat, it creates a smooth transition from the black tube scarf to the red trench. Also, to blend the leopard hat with the look, I went for light brown boots. The boots, with their color palette, complement both the hat the chocolate tights.
So tell me Creative fashionistas, are you a fan of bright coats? How would you style a red trench coat for cold days? What do you think of my leopard-print hat as the main accent to the look?
