Since I gave birth to my gorgeous baby boy, my love for florals intensified. The main reason was its strategic ability to hide my post-natal belly, you know, the eyes were drawn to the lovely bloom of colors instead to where I carried my love for nine months. But fast forward two months later, my belly´s back to pre-pregnancy flatness thanks to my disciplined daily long walks (religiously pushing my baby´s stroller for over an hour at the nearby forest park), my obsession with floral just continues and that´s despite the arrival of dreaded gloomy seasons.
Seeing Olivia Palermo rock the florals with a twist, I can´t help but be inspired with the two most standout combos she´s created.
1. The Versatile Floral Skirt
Olivia Palermo says this is the single most versatile skirt. Notice that the hem hits just a little above the ankle which allows her to look tall whether she´s partnering it with low-vamp shoes or ankle strapped. She did a print on print combination, both the blouse and the skirt are transparent lightweight, and they work in a way that both are dominated with dark hues.
This is definitely an elegant and feminine way to wear florals.
2. The Sports Luxe Boxy Floral
Olivia Palermo was seen rocking a complete sporty look from MonclerGamme-Rouge collection, Circa 2016.
I´m recognizant that not all body types can rock this boxy combo, especially the curvy or boyish types, but if you´re lucky to be tall and/or slim, then go ahead brave the floral boxy. Remember though that you don´t have to go boxy, you can mimic the look by mixing a high-low floral tunic with floral capris finished off with some sneakers.
