It’s less than two weeks since I arrived in Germany from Bangkok and I’m still adjusting. The weather is supposed to be fun because it’s still summer, but it’s not. It usually rains and the temperature is cold.
If the sun is up and shining, I’m happy because that means my hubby can drive me around town to see places.
For six years of living in Bangkok, Thailand, I never had the opportunity to wear knee-high boots and riding boots. The temperature was simply too hot to sports those shoes. I used to content myself with peep-toe, mid-calf boots or short booties.
Not in Germany. Whenever I go out, I always wear close shoes, be it ballerina, closed booties or close knee-high boots.
I managed to sneak some photos one afternoon while hubby and I walked around town.
For my outfit, I wore a “kiss me” t-shirt from Exact (purchased in Bangkok), skinny jeans by Levis (from Bangkok), knee-high brown riding boots from a consignment store in Germany, and my oversize sunnies.
What I love about the boots is its second-hand look. It looks worn out, like the boots of a real cowgirl.
Special “Thanks” to my photographer, my husband, Glenn.
How do you wear riding boots?
You have found the bright side of less than great weather…your new boots! 🙂
Indeed, Saretta, my new boots are the bright side of it. 🙂
Ooooooo…I want a pair of those boots. As always Glee you are styling just right. People do underestimate what can be found in consignment stores …there are so many very cool looks that can be purchased at a very affordable price~
Thanks for sharing~
Hi Dorothy, it feels good to have your first comment on this new blog. I missed reading them.
You´re right, there are some real gems in consignment stores. And even if there quality might be as superior as those expensive ones, there are ways to lenthen their lives, spraying the the polyester boots every tiem you keep them, for example. 🙂
