If you´re currently weathering the chill of winter season like I do, then you must certainty be dreaming and craving for a fabulous get-away anywhere that is warm, sunny and has a beautiful beach. But if you´re lucky and you´re currently enjoying the sun, then please go outside, put on some sunscreen and sunnies, and embrace its warmth for me.
What I love about summer is the get-away part, when hubby gets three-weeks-vacation and we travel. I was never crazy about travelling before, and I’ve never been as mindful of the sun as I do now, but I guess this is the result of being stuck indoor for months due to a long winter.
Thanks to yesterday´s article, the ruffle cuffed sleeves trend, I got to explore Dolce & Gabbana´s recent collections. And guess which items totally captivated me? None other than the printed pieces which fit exactly for my get-away essentials.
Sunglasses shouldn´t top my list if it´s simply for vain reasons, but they´re there because they play a significant role – protecting my eyes from the sun. Wrinkling our eyes when the sun is blinding will result to actual wrinkles, and because the skin around our eyes are the first to dry up, exposing them to the sun can cause irreversible damage to the skin.
I used to settle for clean black frame glasses, but lately I´ve been adding animal print to my glasses collection. I´m a fan.
The Get-away Bag
Totes are my number one carry-all bags for getaways. I love them because they´re big enough to stash as much stuff. I prefer them in bright colors for summer escapades.
I normally just bring three sets of swimsuits with me when hubby and I travel. I wash it right-away after use. I never settle for solid colors, instead I go for attractive printed pieces.
Instead of maxi dresses, I prefer roomy tunics as a topper in the beach. I don´t know, I just feel comfortable and free in them. I guess it´s a reflection of my fave home attire in summer, roomy tunic t-shirts. And because I sweat quite a lot, I prefer my tunics in either cotton or silk-chiffon. They´re fresh on the skin.
I guess you would agree with me, a beautiful wedge shoe is just so hard to ignore. I wear them with any out-of-town casual outfits.
The Printed Pump
Exploring five-star restaurants in places that we travel is an indulgence that my husband and I share. It´s our time to dress up and taste new foods as we bond in a romantic dinner date. That´s why I always pack a pair of pumps with me. This year, I’m thinking of experimenting with black and white polka dot pumps.
Of course, that doesn´t mean that my travel suitcase is filled with designer get-away pieces. But rather, I pick similar pieces that my wallet can afford.
