In dressing up this season, there´s no reason to match your coverups with the surroundings – gray sky, brown landscape and dried up leaves. It´s time to bring bright colors back through your coats. Technicolor coats are the current must-have for fall.
We´ve seen different versions of hot outerwears from the Fashion Week 2011. If you missed the 3 standout trends, check this out, Creative Fashion Spy: Trend Coats for Fall.
Bright colored coats are more versatile than you ever thought. They pop out against basic colors and they also blend with other bright colors.
They´re not only able to amp up your style, they resuscitate it! That said, I´ve spied 5 very fabulous colorful coats.
Table of Contents
1. Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Wool and cashmere-blend duffle coat ($860)
I´m already on the lookout for a new duffle coat and when I saw this yellow duffle coat by Sonia Rykiel, my heart simply skipped a bit. How gorgeous? Not only does it have an attractive color, it´s cut and style are a combo of cute details – curved collar, bracelet sleeves, buttoned tab across neck, side slit pockets and tan leather detail. This coat is definitely a great update to your cold-weather wardrobe.
2.DKNY Fuchsia Wool Blend Coat (669 €)
What´s the better way to embrace femininity than wearing a fuchsia wool blend coat? I am a fan of pink especially of deeper shade. This double-breasted coat is simply chic. I love that it comes with fewer details which makes it very elegant. You can wear it buttoned or unbuttoned, it depends on the temperature. Pink blends best with black so you might want to pair it with tall black boots.
3. Diane von Furstenberg Bernice cocoon wool-blend coat ($795)
I and my husband have the same favorite color, it´s blue. This shade of bright color is refreshing to the eyes and it depicts serenity just like the sky. Clad with this cobalt wool coat, you exude both power and style by looking so relaxed and comfortable in this cocoon as if you´ve got everything under control. You are to turn heads in this beauty. Remember to let its hue shine out by wearing this coat with neutral palettes.
4.FLEURETTE Ruched Collar Coat ($725.00)
Red is the new black. During the 2011 Fashion Week, red coat trend was very evident. From Louis Vuitton´s red shiny leather coat, Lanvin´s red coat dress to Michael Kors red fur coat. Shades of scarlet, cardinal and vermilion are your best choices for this color. This FLEURETTE Ruched Collar Coat is one of a kind. It´s ruched collar is very stylish and its buttons (front and Button-through strap at rear) are very attractive. This coat is best to inject fun and floral feel this season.
5. Double-cloth lady day coat with Thinsulate ($325.00)
There´s something about green color that intimidates me. I don´t know exactly why but I almost have no green in my closet. However, when I saw this feminine, very flattering double-cloth lady coat, I simply couldn´t resist. I had to feature it. This coat comes with a beautiful drape which hits above the knee. It´s details include inset waistband at high waist, on-seam pockets, functional buttons at cuffs, repp-stripe tie-silk piping and its fully lined in Thinsulate. This military power coat is exclusive at JCrew.
So tell me Creative Fashionistas, which technicolor coat inspires you to brighten up this fall?
