Have Your Say
So tell me Creative Fashionistas, which of the above modern women’s shirt for work is a great buy? How do you wear professional looking shirts to work?
My dear friend,
This is a great article, but I do think that women have a tough time when it comes to shirts which I differentiate from a blouse. In most quality men’s stores there are a number f options when buying shirts: collar style, arm length, fit and many others. Most formal shorts like the fitted plaid shirt or coloured shirt which you have above tend to come in a one size fits all for women. Taller women find the arms too short and women with a smaller bust find that the fit does not make them look sexy enough. This often forces women to wear blouses rather than a properly fitted business shirt.
Do you think that women should have more options when it comes to the fit of shirts designed to fit them?
My favorite is the blue pintucked blouse. 😀
I like wearing bright blouses so they’ll add interest to the rest of the neutral clothes in the outfit, and I have some of my accessories be neutral, while others match my blouse. 😀 It’s kind of similar to the “Colored Modern Shirt” example — the colors in it are really cute.
