Military print is something not many women try to wear. The print is quite masculine and unless you´ve some extra testosterone counts, you´d rather stick with the feminine or safe prints. However, once you put a hand on a military piece and learn how to style it for your advantage, you can actually create a boy-meets-girl look.
One night while I and my friends were shopping at a night market in Bangkok (I guess about 3 years ago), we stumbled at an all-military stall. We thought it would be cool if each of us gets a piece of military. Daisy and Joy both purchased a military-print cropped sweat pants while I opted for military shorts. We, at the time, loved to wear uniform outfits so we also bought a plaid shirt exactly of the same style.
Although I initially got a black (Navy) tank top and nude army-inspired belt to complete the look, I decided today to ditch those strong pieces and opted for this green plaid shirt to go with the military shorts. I added a turquoise belt to give definition between the two prints. Other than the belt and the leather back bag, this outfit is thrifted.
True to the weather report, today was warm and sunny. A blessing after two weeks of cold, dull and rainy days. After taking some photos and walking around the city including checking what´s up at the movie theatre this week, we shared a plate of banana split ice-cream.
Do you have a military-print piece? Or do you actually consider wearing one? How would you wear the print?
Absolutely love the whole outfits! :)) Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Maya. I´m glad you enjoyed this look. 🙂
