I love maxi dresses for spring and summer. They are chic, comfortable and easy to wear. I also love the fact that I can wear a dress and skip shaving my legs for a day! Another reason I love maxi dresses is that they are usually affordable, so they make for a cost-effective outfit!
When shopping for maxi dresses, I pay a lot of attention to the color and/or print. Certain colors like gray and some blues show sweat easily and if you’re outside in the summer, you’re going to sweat. Not cute! I also look at length. The dress should hit at a flattering angle which is different for every woman. Here’s a look at my favorite maxi dresses.
Basic Print Maxi Dress
Black and white is my favorite color combination and I adore this print. I like to pair it with flat sandals (due to the length) and a fun statement necklace. Despite the length and amount of black it has, this dress is surprisingly cool. I bought this dress at Target for $27 and get a lot of use out of it.

Animal Print Dress
Wearing an animal print maxi dress makes a bold statement. You have to really love animal print to rock this, which I do. I got this dress at Marshalls for only $14.99! It is a little too long to wear with flats, so I style them with wedges or heeled sandals so that I’m not tripping while I walk. This dress is so comfortable I could fall asleep in it!

Hi-Low Maxi Dress
At first, I didn’t care for the hi-low hemline trend, but once I tried on this dress, I discovered how flattering the trend is. I love the unique graphic print that gives this feminine dress a little edge. For only $14.99 at TJ Maxx, it’s a steal! Especially since it also came with the belt (which I’ve already used in other outfits)!
