I was a teacher for eight years and while I loved to dress up, wearing a little eyeshadow, lipstick and formal clothes were enough for me to face the day and get things done. Now a full-time fashion blogger, I am met with the need to put on more makeup than I used to wear and to get my nails done as often as possible.
I don´t have any fuss keeping up with my beauty and fashion regimens for I know that they come hand in hand, however, I was horrified when one day looking at my outfit posts I´ve spotted several makeup mistakes and some colors that seem just not right. I know something has to be corrected but I wasn´t quite sure which.
There was one time when hubby brought me to a store where new cosmetics products arrived, he wanted me to check them out. I got my list in hand for which items I needed. While choosing for a blush on he asked, “which color?”. I was surprisingly confused. I didn´t know which color should I take. I ended up trying on several samples each time asking my husband, is this okay? what about this? … It became a turning point, I knew I must be knowledgeable with what makeup shades I should wear.
I`m certain I wasn´t alone battling such predicament. Below are useful tips to help you identify the makeup shades that suit your skin color.

This is really good to know! I usually just go for colors I like but don’t really think about matching my skin tone. Great advice!

I have always been confused about shades and colors. Many magazines says Asians need to use a blue eye shadow to make eyes go POP. But I’m not sure if this works or not.
Hi Helen, I have not read from many magazines about blue eyeshadow being great for Asians but being Asian myself, I do find blue eyeshadows, a combination of dark blue for base and light blue for the upper layer, the best eyeshadow color for my light brown skin. In fact, they´re my favorite.
