“Hi! I have a lovely leopard print pencil skirt. Could you give me an outfit option for work. Thanks! Maya.”
Thank you Maya for your question! Leopard print has been a fashionable trend and it never really goes out of style. So if you don’t own any leopard print, think about investing in a versatile leopard skirt. It does wonders to an outfit because it will just spruce up your outfit making the entire outfit a timeless one that you can wear season after season.
Classic Work Outfit
The skin tone blouse, the khaki trench and the nude pumps are all bland. Add the leopard print skirt and Voila! Instant glam. Because the outfit is very neutral, adding the right accessories will help pull the outfit from nay to YAY!
What I really like about this outfit are the neutral pieces (blouse, coat, & pumps). These are pieces most women have in their closets. Moreover, the pieces are neutrals which you can swap out for other neutrals in your closet. For example, you don’t have a khaki coat, but you have a black coat. You don’t have a skin tone blouse, but you have a brown blouse. Any neutral combination will work.
Retro with Leopard Print
Retro inspiration is perfect with a leopard print because of the cut and silhouette. I still incorporated neutrals in the tops. I love combining stripes and another print such leopard because it gives the outfit a dimension. If you are curvy, add the belt to further enhance your natural curves. You can belt the shell and layer the cardigan over or you can belt it right over the two tops.
Casual and Relaxed Office Look
This is a casual office outfit that I would wear. However, I might switch out the skirt for leopard print jeans for even more comfort. I have two kids and running around in a skirt is a disaster waiting to happen. A slouchy top in a bright coral sets a more relaxed vibe. Not only can this be worn to a more casual office environment, give it a go during your weekends for shopping or lunching.
Some people might be afraid that leopard print = being loud, but when you pair it with neutrals you cannot go wrong.
