One of the perks of summer here in our side of the world is getting to see lots of sexy women out in the street. You´ll see legs in really short shorts, varied shapes in dresses or skirts, sunglasses and hats! Unlike in winter when all you see is a sea of black, summer is a lot more fun. Hello prints, floral, bright colors and laces!
Friday afternoons and weekends are especially my favorite days in summer. Lots of people dining, drinking coffee or eating ice-cream out in the street under huge, bright umbrellas and the ambiance is upbeat. Can you blame me why I love summer and not winter?
But you´ll most people here wearing laidback outfits in weekends. There are some who are strikingly stylish, but most are into comfort than style. One of the things you can do to easily add hint of style to your laidback weekend outfits is wearing a lace top. Here are four style ideas.
1. Flirty Crop Lace Top + Chambray Shorts
Whether it´s to toughen up a sleeveless lace top with a dark denim skirt or lighten it up with some chambray shorts, teaming a lace with denim is a gorgeous style idea to steal. Worn with a fedora hat and some strappy flat sandals, you´ll chic while comfy and effortless.
2. Freddy Lace Top + Comfy Shorts
There are some comfy shorts that also look dressy, if you wear them with a nice lace top featuring embroidery and/or pleats, your laidback outfit still speaks elegance and class. Emphasize the elegance with some statement accessories such as black sunglasses and black flat sandals, but don´t forget to be girly with a brim hat.
3. White Crochet Trim Tank + White Shorts
White on white is my favorite so I´m most likely to navigate towards this combination on a humid summer day. Teaming a white lace top with white shorts will always make you look fresh and clean no matter how sweaty you go.
4. Crop Lace Top + White Culottes
Here´s a super cute laidback outfit for a summer weekend featuring a light blue crop lace top teamed with white culottes. If I´m wearing this to a meet-up with my girlfriends in Bangkok, I´ll wear it with high heels. The pavement in the street and the floors of shopping malls are mostly smooth and flat so rocking high heels isn´t stressful. But if I´m wearing it here in Germany, with all the cobblestones, I´ll finish it with a pair of flats.
What do you think, girls, is a white lace top an essential in your laidback outfits for the weekends in summer?
