I don´t know about you but it´s very much a winter over here, heavy snow and freezing temperature. So other than parkas and thick wool coats, I have my mind full of warm boots. And when it comes to winter boots, I´m not a big fan of uggs because of their lack of proper support for my feet. Thus I lean more on leather riding boots and leather flat ankle boots. Leather does not keep heat as much as sheep skin materials so I tend to double my socks when I´m to stay longer outdoor.
What I love about flat, lace up ankle boots is their casual attitude with a mix of country and city style. Read on to know why my preference on these ladies winter boots by Clarks.
A Leggy Look
Mortimer Liz, Black Leather
If winter in your area is relatively warm compared to us here in Europe, then you can go leggy with flat lace up boots by teaming them with a long cardigan and denim shorts. This outfit is a mix of neutral and denim, with the black leather boots as the main highlight. A very fabulous street look.
Toughened Up Army
Mortimer Liz, Tan Leather
Army and denim is a next season´s trend but you can always wear the trend ahead of its season. Look for an army green coat, if you haven´t already, to pair with light blue denim jeans and tan, laced up ladies winter boots. Soften the look with a beige top. You´ve got the power, girl!
Stripes Plus Denim
Mortimer Liz, Grey Combi Leather
The best thing about leather ankle boots is you can rework them for spring and summer, in fact, all year round. Embrace another spring trend, the stripes. Throw over a stripe top a sleeveless cropped denim jacket, add a pair of blue skinnies, and finish off with this grey combi leather lace up boots. If you want some pop of color, swap the gray bag with a vibrant one.
So tell me ladies, what winter boots comfort you from the cold?
