I waited until today to blog about Kate Middleton´s favorite brand, Issa London´s collaboration with Banana Republic, when the collection officially hit the shelves! Remember that gorgeous blue dress Kate wore for the Royal engagement announcement? Everyone knows that cobalt blue Issa dress which was picked not only because of its stunning silhouette but also because it matched the sapphire engagement ring.
Because many women who lusted for that dress couldn´t possibly afford a similar dress at the original price range, Issa teamed up with Banana Republic to release a collection of dresses, tops, cardigans and accessories that are “fit for a queen but made for you“.
At around $130-$140, you can have access to sophisticated style and silhouette that are inspired by the royal’s famous blue engagement dress! Expect brilliant, stunning details, forgiving fabrics, and designs that are figure-flattering for every woman.
Already the Three-Quarter Sleeve Wrap-Tie Dress in royal blue, the exact replica of the duchess´ dress, is sold out for X and XL sizes, that´s just in less than 24 hours. So if you´re planning to get this dress, you´ve got to act fast! But it´s also available in merlot color, your second alternative just in case your size ran out.
Also in the collection are flattering draped front or pleated dresses that would easily take you from day to night, short-sleeved or sleeveless, in zebra print or in bursting bright color.
I find myself so drawn to these beautiful printed kimono dresses. I know I´ve a thing for wide sleeves, but if coupled with a very fashionable print, all the more that I couldn´t resist. I´m in awe.
There are two colored tights included in the collection which are meant to be worn with the dresses. This actually reminds me of Anna Sui´s Fall 2012 runway looks which were all polished with bright-colored tights.
What do you think of Issa London´s collection for Banana Republic? Which items would you love to have for your fall wardrobe?
