Do you love leather and have been wondering how to wear leather dress in winter? These tips should help strut your leather like a style pro without donning a matrix replica.
Given this whole leather thing going on this season, I´m looking for stylish ways to wear leather trend. Although first and foremost I`m a huge fan of leather pants, I´m starting to warm up to leather dresses after I saw many of them on some fall/winter runway shows.
We saw different interpretations such as Cèline´s boxy leather jacket dress, Hermès´top coat-like leather dress with leather gloves and boots, and Calvin Klein´s gorgeous sleeveless leather skirt dress. Depending on your figure and your taste, you can try on the perfect glossy leather look for you. Here are some leather I´m digging right now.
1. How to Wear Leather Dress in Winter: Combo Bustier Leather Dress
I am drawn by the combo bustier style of this dress plus its cute cap sleeves from Rebecca Taylor. If you look at it closely, it has a subtle optical illusion effect with contrast texture from the sleeves to the sides. I hardly could afford this dress with its first listed price, $495, but now that it´s on 40% off, with its current price $296.98, I have a chance. Looks great with black sexy pumps and black leather clutch.
2. Leather Sweater Dress with a Trench Coat
It´s not always that I see a perfect leather dress such as this sportswear-inspired leather from BCBGMAXAZRIA. Its color is cinder, a bit darker than stone which is very much a neutral. If worn with smoke rose or nude colored trench coat, it´s like topping the season´s other trend, au natural! Just like the model, I too feel that a cap-toe heel is perfect to complete the dress.
3. How to Wear Leather Dress in Winter: Faux Mini Leather Dress with Ankle Boots
This dress reminds me of that cool plaid coat with leather contrast sleeves from pre-fall trends. This women’s westminster by Amanda Uprichard is made of silk and a faux leather material. It´s two-toned with the long sleeves featuring a contrast color or texture. It´s available in ivory combo and in black. Finish it up with black ankle boots. If you want to add some baroque and brocade details to the look, this mud pie black paisley will the job. It´s both convenient and trendy.
4. How to Wear Leather Dress in Winter: Long Sleeves Mini Leather Dress with Knee-Length Suede Boots

You might see that a long-sleeve bodycon mini dress is easier to find that long leather dresses. It´s also easier to wear. You layer it under with warm leggings to cover your dress, a warm thermal undershirt, and add a wool long coat to keep you warm for when you step outside. Of course, a pair of tall suede boots is in order.
When it comes to your coat, I would encourage you to have the liberty to choose other colors and not only black. It can be a brown wool top coat, or even a beige.
5. Leather Blazer Front Wrap Dress with Beige Tall Boots
6. Oxblood Leather Dress Mixed with Black Tall Boots ad Beige Coat
7. Cinched Waist Leather Dress with Chunky Boots
8. Puff Sleeve Leather Dress with Side Shirring and Fur Coat
What do you think of leather dresses? Is it something you´re wearing this season?
Ooo, I like the second set, though I don’t know if I could pull off this trend!
