With off-the-shoulder dominating this year´s summer styles, the bardot top is rising as a key trend this season. It´s the way to bear your arms without actually baring your arms. And whatever you wear it, the bare shoulders always signal summer. There are many ready-to-wear bardot dresses, but I feel like experimenting on what combinations to create with bardot tops, thus these four looks.
It looks like a bardot jumpsuit, but it´s actually a combo of a multi print bardot top and a solid red culottes. You can get both the top and the trousers at Coast. Beautiful printed bardot top toned down by a power red.
yellow bardot top + culottes
I´d like to call this bright yellow top a summer sweater, just minus the shoulders. You can wear it with bright orange pants for a fabulous color blocking, but I opted for this faded orange culottes for a more retro appeal. The shoes and the bag sealed the deal.
blue bardot top yellow capri pants
This combo is very pleasing to the eyes. Light blue speaks of the summer´s blue sky, while the bright yellow of the bright shining sun. Very summer, right? The make sure your outfit glows, go for the white shoes.
gingham bardot top + midi wrap skirt
Pink being a trendy color of the season, choosing a pink gingham bardot top just makes sense. It´s trendy but also very retro. Parnering it with a deliciously bright pink wrap skirt, the result is nothing but stunning. And again, on to the glow. White mules, please!
So what do you think of the bardot top? Are you ready to brave the impracticality of this off-shoulder style in the name of summer style?
