Sweater dress is one of my favorite trend for fall. They come in different styles and materials, but I choose the sweater dresses that compliment my body type with materials that make me feel comfortable.
In my last week´s outfit post, I wore a knitted sweater dress with flat leather boots. So far, I´m loving this Fall look a lot.
Sweater dress is one single apparel that´s almost complete by itself. It´s best to wear it alone to let it stand out, adding only a few of accessories to spice it up. You can also layer your sweater dress over tights or leggings, and there are many ways you can style it. If you plan to add a sweater dress in your wardrobe this fall, or if you´re looking for new ways to wear your old sweater dresses, here´s what I recommend.
1. Wear your sweater dress like a celebrity
This look is inspired by Jessica Alba. This is how she´d wear a sweater dress. A gorgeous stripe with fitting cowl neck, this sweater dress comes with a slim belt to emphasize the waist. I paired it with a Jessica Simpson Women’s Stephena Knee-High Boot. Very Jessica, isn´t it? And then I chose a dark brown handbag to match with the boots.
2. Wear your sweater dress the edgy way
This rich sweater dress with cowl-neck and braided knit along inside of arm and side, is a dainty beauty. However, if you layer it over a thick black tights (sweater dress looks great over thick tights), paired with knee-high black boots, black handbag and black sunglasses, you have one edgy look for Fall.
3. Wear your sweater dress the trendy way
This oversize v-neck sweater dress is every inch trendy. Layer it over a white tank and black tights. Let the tank peek over the neck or give some flirty cleavage tease. To add more attitude, I paired it with a taupe shade, knee-high leather boots and an Ivanka Trump Tiger’s Eye Shoulder Bag.
4. Wear your sweater dress a bit wild
A sexy, form-fitting take on the classic turtleneck dress, this sweater dress is my personal favorite because it accentuates a figure. I love that it looks great alone or layered with pants or leggings. But I prefer to wear it bare skin for a longer leg look, and pair it with a wedge ankle boot in leopard print. Animal print pumps is the best alternative if you have shorter legs or simply go for nude D´Orsay shoes. If you opt for D´Orsays, then grab an animal print bag for a little classy wild look.
