Not a while ago I blogged about how to wear leather pants. Those were 3 celebrity looks that I found gorgeous enough to mimic. And then I got some creative fashionistas googling and searching for tips on how to wear red leather pants. I thought, “That´s right, red is the new black and it´s hot!” So I decided to write this post, but this time, instead of featuring another celeb outfits, I decided to review how fashion bloggers and street fashionistas wear red leather looks. In fact, there´s quite a number of outfits that impressed me, and yet I settled for these three, a trend you can wear for every season, stylishly.
I can´t assure you though that these looks are for less, since real leather demands a fortune. But they are really good investments if you have enough to spare. They last for a lifetime as long as you know how to take care of them and leather items are considered classic, so they´ll never go out of trend. However, if you don´t want to blow your bank for a pair of hot red leather pants, I tried to give an alternative red pants which are more affordable, just for the sake of getting these looks.
Red Leather Pants for Winter
I really love how this stylista of Siljefashion wore red leather pants for very cold days. Her brown top coat are very polished and it pulled together the great contrast created by a black pullover and red leather pants mix. Black socks and black ankle boots are enough to complete this elegant look, and that leopard print clutch is perfect for an accent.
To the right is my version. Since the double-breasted wool blend pea coat cannot be worn open, I went for a turtleneck black sweater to give a hint of black which will match your boots. An alternative to that Mason red leather pants is this D&G Scarlet shiny pants.
Red Leather Pants for Fall/Spring
Red leather pants can be worn too on seasons when the wind is a little chilly but not too cold. Lady addict showed us how to fabulously pull off a sweater covered with hearts, which is oh-so-trendy, with red cropped leather pants and sexy black ankle boots. Black is a very good color complement for red so if you wear black shoes, there´s a smooth color mix as the eye transition from your pants´ cuffs to your boots. This cropped red pants from gap are a cheaper alternative.
Red Leather Pants for Summer
It´s more fun to wear red leather pants in summer because you can bare more skin and slip into cuter footwear. I love this street style look because it´s very effortless. Sheer brown top over black brassieres and red leather pants teamed with brown sandals is gorgeous and a little flirty. Grab a brown handbag and Michael Kors sunglasses for your accessories. This Lauren red pants are a very affordable alternative to your red leather pants.
