Pine green first appeared as a trend on the runway last year´s fall. But it lingered, and it´s still very much a strong trend for this coming fall and winter as it was when it first appeared on the stage.
Pine green is a cool color, and it´s a great alternative to other basic dark hues such as black and gray. It provides a nice way to inject color to your fall (or even winter) layering.
Let´s take a look at some ways you can incorporate pine green to your style.
1. Pine Green Party Dresses
1) A-Line Dress, 2) Open-Back Halter Gown, 3) Pleated Evening Gown, 4) Kimono-Sleeve Dress
Keep it classic. One trait that makes classic styles stand out is their less-is-more, simple but loud statement. If you´re wearing a solid dress in pine green, whether it´s a long dress or knee-length, you´ll want the color to do the talking.
You need not clash it with other colors, instead, just add neutral accessories such as some animal print pumps, black/tan/white heels, or a black fur stole.
2. Printed Dresses
1) Two-Tiered Dress with Neck Detail, 2) Patchwork Sheath Dress, 3) Maxi Dress, 4) Sweater Dress, 5) Wrap Dress
Keep it interesting. We have here a variation of printed dresses with pine green as the theme.
Pick your style, and know your strength. Are you going to show off your legs, your arms, or your figure? This works in early fall, or if your fall season isn´t as chilly as where I live. From strap heels to flats, sneakers and ankle boots, keep the color of your shoes basic.
If you need to add a top layer, coat or jacket, keep it on black, white or tan. You want to seal the statement after you remove your topper indoor.
3. Top+ Jacket + Pants
1) Double-Zip Bomber Jacket, 2) Cap-Sleeve Blouse, 3) Twill Tie-Waist Pant
Have fun with layers. You may want to keep things surprising, unpredictable. When you´re working with light washed denim jeans, add a pine green bomber jacket. This is about knowing how to work with contrasts, like a button-down shirt worn with tie-waist pants.
Remember, when you´re working with casual shades, pine green will add class to the look.
