Colorblocking is probably my most adored trend this season. This is because I adore and collect bright colors so when this trend surfaced, I simply had to mix and remix what I already have in my closet. I like this trend because the pieces you wear can be worn several ways, outfits are easy to create and look very chic.
But as colorblocking grew on me, my excitement shifts into the already-colorblocked pieces such as shoes, bags and skirts. They´re great to take advantage with.
As pictured above, Katy Perry and Susie Bubble were named “best shoes” at some affairs they attended last year, 2011. Katy in Giuseppe Zanotti at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards while Susie Bubble in Sixby6Bloggers at the 2011 British Fashion Awards.
Today, let´s talk about styling a pair of colorblock shoes.

Colorblock shoes with a monochromatic printed dress
Dress up a pair of gorgeous colorblock platform sandals with a monochromatic dress. The choice of print is yours but make sure that the background color of your printed dress matches one color from your shoes.
Standout colorblock shoes with nude pieces
This is how I wear a pair of colorblock shoes, as a standout color against low-key, neutral colored pieces. I feature one statement at a time so this is the best way to let the eyes focus on the statement shoes, worn with a nude dress.

City chic colorblock sandals for work
City chic sandals are trending this season and they´re hot for summer. To wear them to work, wear with a black pencil skirt (preferably under the knee for tall girls) and a bright top which matches one color from your shoes. The brights float out against the black so add a black bag.

Wear colorblock shoes with bold prints
Like Katy Perry, you can clash your colorblock shoes with a bold print, be it a skirt, a pair of pants or a top. To avoid a confused look, opt for a patterned/printed piece in black. The black balances all the statements.
