I know that neutrals such as black and white and smoke rose are hot this season, but when it comes to beating up the blues brought by this chilly temperature, nothing beats the allure of bright-colored sweater.
Whether it´s for work, for running errands, or for a casual mix, bright sweater can be easily styled up and it gets quickly noticed. Although this post will focus on how to pair a bright sweater with skirt, you can apply the same tricks in teaming it with pants or shorts.
These vibrant knitted sweaters are from Matches Fashion. See how cozy and cute they are. They also come with style tips which we´ll try to steal. So here are the tips:
- Mix Chartreuse with Dark Blue – there´s nothing more vibrant than a Chartreuse knit sweater, remember this shade is a hot hue for fall and winter, that is mixed with a dark blue long pencil skirt. The color floats out nicely blending well with the skirt´s color. Finish off with dark-brown wide belt and black pumps for a sophisticated yet comfy work outfit.
- Hot Red tempered with Neutral – so we know that red exudes lots of confidence and is very attention grabbing. To soften the color, team it up with a neutral colored full skirt in nude or other earthy hues. Grab a neutral colored bag too to channel more softening, then complete the look with dark red or maroon ankle boots.
- Rich blue with Print – bright sweaters can be mixed with printed skirts too. An example is this eye-popping olympian blue, another color of the season, mixed with a printed skirt which entirely complement the sweater. The trick is, as I´ve mentioned it here in the site for several times, make sure that the color of your monochrome exists in your print. If it´s not an exact color, at least it should be a darker version. There´s nothing more painful in the eye than a bright separate mixed with an overly clashing print.
What are your thoughts? How would you style a bright-colored sweater for fall and winter?
