Yesterday we went to a plateau about an hour drive from our city to show this magnificent tourist spot to our guests. In winter, the temperature over there requires a heavy-duty parka or some really warm, wool coats.
The view was amazing despite the dark clouds and freezing temperature. However, because we had a baby with us, who was not feeling comfortable at the top of the mountain and was crying a lot, we couldn´t stay long.
I had warned the parents that it´s terribly freezing over there, but for some reasons, they didn´t wrap their baby enough to withstand the cold. They didn´t even bring a baby blanket! So quickly, we had to leave. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement.
However, the trip gave me an idea for this post. There were so many tourists and watching them hike towards the top of the plateau was like watching a sea of black coats marching, saved a few bright colored coats that I could spot every now and then.
In order to overcome my annoyance towards our guests, I occupied my mind with the idea of wearing bright colored coats in winter amidst the sea of black coats, on our way home. Questions like, when it´s time to bring out the thick, warm coats, how do we inject colors to our winter outfits so that we´re not wearing all black all the time?
