This last week of the year I found myself digging most for spring/summer 2014 trends. Shopbop | New Season: 10 Crosby Derek Lam in particular impressed me because it focusses on amping up our reliable go-to casual outfits. We already have most of these spring staples in our closet so we only need a piece or two to give those old items a new twist. Get ready for those fashion-forward casual looks.

Elevated Sweater and Skirt
How many sweaters do you have in your closet? And how many mini skirts do you have? In spring, take a dark print mini to team with a light shade pullover such as beige, blush, or coral, to go with a pair of sexy sandals or pumps. Then take your best trench coat to pull everything together. Wear it unbuttoned.
Your Favorite New Go-To Prints That Are Newsworthy
Elevated Jumpsuit
Trench, Jumpsuit, Ring, Sandal
Loving those jumpsuits and rompers you got from last season much? To give it a new twist for spring, throw over a fierce topper such as a colorblock or a sleeve-contrast trench.
Elevated Trackpants
I once dressed up a pair of sweat pants with blazer and i was amazed with the result. Next season, I´d like to put my hands on track pants. The key is choosing a track pant in light, girly hue and styling it up with of-the-moment patterned top.
Elevated Skinny Pants
Top, Jeans, Sunglasses, Sandal
Skinny jeans are always reliable whether it´s for cold or warmer seasons. But in spring, you´d like to distant a bit from heavy, dark denim and opt for something lighter in hue. Try a pair of figure hugging (colorblock) trousers in feminine shade and team it up with a light flirty top. You will surely enjoy the result.
