But these trends are just some of the styling ideas you can do to make a statement this summer.
Sometimes, the best way to make an outfit standout is by taking just one color as your main accent. It can be a scarf, a hat or just a top. In order to make the color float out, you´ve got to dress it up with soft neutrals.
Summer is about feeling comfortable, upbeat and relaxed. So if you´re thinking of wearing soft neutral colored materials, here´s how to accent it with color.
Sunday Casual Outfit: Maxi Skirt
One reader asked us to suggest a sunday casual outfit which can be worn anywhere. Well, we have this in mind! Wanna go casual for a sunday stroll at the park? How about a laid-back Sunday evening date with your boyfriend? Or, a not overdressed outfit for church (just trade the flat sandals with heels and add a cropped fitted cardigan)? Wear a flow-y maxi skirt.
Remember, the white tank top, the brown printed silk maxi skirt, and the gold braided T-strap sandals are all neutrals. Accent it with a statement colored scarf.
Dressed Up: Shorts
Dressy shorts are one of my favorite items for summer. The very reason why I love this kind of shorts is because it can be dressed up and down. Hasn´t its name given it away yet? So suppose you have a white dressy shorts, how would you style it casually with clear attitude?
As this look suggests, it looks great with a metallic striped tank top layered over with a clay cardigan and teamed with a pair of sexy, embellished t-strap sandals (have I told you I´m addicted to t-straps?). The best accent for this outfit is an orange cute hat.
Lady-like Combo: Pencil Skirt
Girls love to dress up like a lady. Do you have a pencil skirt that has been hiding in your closet for a while now? Bring it out and accent it with color. Take a flattering colored top and wear it tucked in. Add a gold or nude sequined clutch then finish it with a pair of strappy high heels or platform sandals.
What do you think of these summer outfits? What bright color would you love to accent a neutral combo?
