They say beauty comes from within – and they weren’t lying. If you want to remain attractive throughout your life, it`s necessary to work from the inside out. The choices you make in life from what you eat to how hectic your lifestyle is can have a major bearing on your looks.
In other words, to get that great body, perfect skin, healthy hair, and strong nails, you need to develop habits that support your inner health.
Below, are a few habits to start developing right away.

1. Drink Lots of Water
Did you know that early signs of aging, dry skin and other health problems can be brought on by dehydration? Your body needs water to operate efficiently, and when it doesn’t receive enough it starts to show outwardly.
Now I know from experience that it´s easy to forget drinking water when you´re too busy throughout the day. This is especially true if you´re constantly on the move.
The trick I learned is to carry a small refillable drinking bottle in my bag. Whenever I go, there´s alaways a small drinking bottle in my purse. Since water is heavy, the weight of my bag reminds me to empty the bottle.
If you´re sitting at your desk most of the day, make sure that there´s drinking water within your sight. You may forget to drink but in times when your eyes wander off your screen and catch the sight of water, then you´ll get reminded to drink.
Ideally, you should be drinking at least half of your body weight in ounces of water each day. If you’re not used to drinking that much, start with a glass at each meal and then work your way up to more. Your skin will clear up in no time.
2. Workout
Exercising is not only recommended to keep you in shape, but it’s also necessary to maintain your health and beauty.
One of the many ways the body rids itself of toxins is through sweat. When you’re not working up a sweat on a regular basis, it takes your body longer to get rid of these toxins. This could result in skin issues like acne.
Exercising at least 3-5 times a week for 30 minutes a day will make a big difference in helping to clear up such a problem.
One of the ways I incorporate exercising in my daily schedule is opting to walk when running errands or going to my appointments instead of taking the car or the bus.
I walk when I pickup my toddler from daycare, and then we walk on our way home, or when I go grocery shopping, and even going to my dentist. If you´ll ask me how far is my dentist´s office from my house, it´s 45 minutes walk. Now this probably sounds too much to walk to some, but this is average distance that I regularly walk.
In your case, it may be opting to walk or to cycle to work instead of commuting. Or it may be getting off one station away from work, or parking your car 15 minutes from work. This will force you to walk 15 minutes to work and then 15 minutes back to your car after work. That´s already a total of 30 minutes!

3. Get a Massage
Massages are commonly thought of as a luxury. Though they can be expensive at times, getting a massage regularly can enhance your beauty. A good scalp massage helps to promote hair growth, boosts circulation which gives your skin a flawless glow and improves sleep.
If you can frequently go to a spa for a massage, you could always visit sites like earthlite.com to find massage supplies to use at home.
However, if you can´t afford to have a regular body massage, learning to massage your own scalp during bedtime can do wonder to the health of your scalp.
4. Increase Your Veggie Intake
Your body needs lots of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals to operate at its fullest potential. Unfortunately, the average person doesn’t often get enough of what they need from their meals.
This then turns up outwardly resulting in skin problems, weight issues, and a plethora of other health issues that alter your appearance.
You can remedy this by incorporating more vegetables into your diet. They are packed with vitamins and nutrients you need for better skin, hair, nails, and weight management.
5. Smile More
The world is a stressful place to live in for everyone these days, but too much stress can wreak havoc on your inner and outer beauty. Stress can turn into skin problems, weight issues, loss of hair, and so much more.
Though you can’t always control what’s got you stressed out, you can improve your health and beauty by learning to smile more. Find time throughout your day or week to do things that make you happy.
Thankfully, just going out for a 30 minutes walk can immediately improve your mood.
But whether that’s reading a book, hanging out with friends, going shopping, painting, dancing, etc, the more you smile the better. Developing happiness habits will not only help you smile more, they will also reduce the wrinkles in your face.
Make sure too that you´re hanging out with the right people. Negativity can quickly suck your energy and worsen your stress, so if there´s any friend who´s favorite pasttime is to complain about life and exagerate all the horrors that happened to her throughout the day, consider limiting the time you spend with her.
The negative effects of hanging out with toxic people is real. So make sure that you´re spending time with those who truly want the best for you and who genuinely supports you.
People are starting to realize just how important the decisions they make are to their health and beauty. When the mind and body aren’t well taken care of eventually this manifests outwardly resulting in everything from pimples to weight gain.
Essentially, maintaining your good looks comes down to developing daily healthy habits that support the mind and body in healing from the inside out.
