There seem no other celebrity who loves plaid print as much as Jessica Alba. From casual plaid skirt and dress, plaid shirts to plaid coats, this star definitely knows how to work this old-school tartan look right. Today let´s re-examine how polish Jessica Alba wears checked pattern and plaid print.
Plaid Shirts Worn with Bell-Bottom Pants. Jessica Alba´s love for plaid shirts is clear, what with her being spotted how many times wearing shirts in this print. She either ties the hems to a knot half-way her torso or she wears them loose untuck. To give the shirts dimension, she pairs them with a wide leg, bell-bottom jeans or pants finished with platform heels.
Checked Pattern/Plaid Print Worn Sexy or Casual. Her casual take on the print is both fun and effortless. At one time she opted for a checked pattern skirt teamed with a sleeveless denim top and slim woven belt to cinch at the waist. Going out with her kids she also rocked a plaid shirt dress with a peach sling bag and cute flat sandals. Jessica Alba also knows how to dress up the plaid print, she wore a bubble dress with peep-toe half boots to the red carpet.
Plaid Print as Accent to Skinny Jeans. Jessica Alba applies the rule of dimension in wearing plaid outerwears with skinny jeans. In order to balance the double-breasted plaid coat (worn unbuttoned) and skin fitting jeans, she adds chunky ankle boots. Notice too that Jessica wears plaid as a single print at a time. The neutral colored scarves and separates temper the eye-catching print.
Way back in school the coolest dude wore a checked pattern shirt and it´s a favorite print of many young budding men. But I grew up to realize girls can rock the print too and I myself embraced this tartan look in my wardrobe (My Outfit: Military-Print Shorts, Plaid Shirt).
What about you? Are you a fan of checked pattern? How do you incorporate the tartan plaid to your wardrobe?
Hi Glee! I love your blue plaid shirt paired with military shorts in your outfit post 🙂 I use to have a military print skirt but I donated it because I didn’t really end up wearing it much….but I do LOVE plaid as well. I especially like the traditional red, black with a bit of blue and yellow plaid. With a print like plaid I think it’s nice to offset it with a quiet pattern or solid colours.
