Fringe boots may seem like the stuff of hippie-chic dreams, never to be donned with anything other than white crochet dresses, suede leather jackets and maybe a braid or two, but I am here to champion the idea that in the world of fashion, anything can happen.
Personal creativity is the key here; with a little experimentation and know-how, letting your personal style shine through is the secret to dispelling style stereotypes. With your mind wide open, then, bust out those fringe boots you’ve been unsure of how to wear this winter and let me guide you through five ideas on how to sport them today.

1. Classic Bohemian:

Ready, set: experiment. Fringe boots may seem too loud to share the spotlight with a printed maxi, but keep your color palette neutrally monochrome and seemingly loud pieces will blend nicely. Pair with an oversized topper and dark sunglasses à la Audrey, a rockin’ leather backpack and a feminine cuff and you’ll make quite the city-girl statement.
2. American Rebel:

Not for the faint-hearted, this look goes alongside my personal favorite style, the heroine chic look. Don’t be afraid to let your inner renegade out on the town in sexy leather pants, spiky jewelry, a scarf with – you guessed it – a skull motif and of course, a white t-shirt emblazoned with everyone’s favorite rebel.
3.Eclectic Esther:

This ensemble, which is closer to my own everyday style, is funky, fun and comfortable. Play on texture with short corduroy shorts and a breezy lace dolman top in a dark shade. Trendy silver jewelry, leopard-print sunglasses and a structured bag in a popping color add quirky, cheerful flair.
4.Resort Season:

Vacation is closer than you think, but summertime weather doesn’t mean you need to store your winter footwear. This outfit is all about proportion. A short, jewel-tone caftan will balance out tall brown fringe boots without looking frumpy, and a white bikini with just a tiny bit of gold detail can actually add major glitz. Maintain the glam with a polished cuff and sophisticated cat-eyes.
5. Easy like Sunday Mornin

Because of their timelessness, flattering white jeans can bring an outfit from casual to elegant, and teaming them with a pair of fringe boots is no exception – especially leather fringe boots. Keep the ensemble refined with a classy leather jacket, an informal-but-tailored bag (denim does the trick) and a flattering blouse in a kitschy print for a touch of humor.
