Last year I introduced a new vocabulary here on the blog — ruching. Have you seen that post? Today let´s take a look at how and where to wear ruched dresses.
In my blog post, ruched top, I talked about how my love for gathered sections of fabric on a cloth started way back when I didn´t even know what it´s called. I just knew that it offers a sophisticated way of hiding unwanted party of the body.
So if you have small breasts or a big tummy, ruching is a great way to hide it. But more than the strategic way to hide unflattering parts, this feature is simply sophisticated and flattering to any body type.
1. Sleeveless Ruched Dress in Black
It´s easy to stay quiet in a black dress, right? But opting for black does not need to be totally subdued. Opt for this elegant and attractive knee-length black dress with ruching from the shoulders down to the skirt.
2. Sleeveless Side Rouched Sheath Dress
Stunning is the word that I will use to describe this side-ruched Atlantis blue dress. What makes it even more amazing is that it looks just as lovely for the office as to a wedding party. I also love its sexy side slit where the ruching ends.
3. Printed Sleek Jersey Ruched Dress
Another way to make a printed dress highly elegant is by choosing it in ruching detail. This geo print ruched dress will make your summer fashionable.
4. Cap-Sleeve Ruched Sheath Dress
Sweet and demure are what best describe this peach ruched dress featuring cap sleeves and a horseshoe neckline. (It´s also available in mint and grass.) The side ruching creates an illusion of full busts and thus, perfect for women with small busts. Worn with pointed toe heels, you´ll stand taller and curvier than you actually are.
5. Printed Lightweight Jersey Ruched Dress
Sheath dresses are often clean but for a change, why not opt for a black-and-white floral print sheath featuring ruching around the waist? Whether you have abs or a tummy, this silhouette will surely flatter your figure.

6. Cap-Sleeve Side-Ruched Sheath Dress
This is the same dress in #2, but only in a lagoon shade. In fact, it´s available in six different colors. If you really love this shape, go click the “Dress”.
7. Pebbles Sleek Jersey Ruched Dress
I have yet to see a ruched dress which I don´t like. But there three bonuses that this ruched dress is offering — 1) a fabulous peeble print that´s quite fresh to the eye, 2) the stunning ruching from the neck down to the bodice and the hips, and 3) the ruching that continues to the back and finishes in a wrap-style.
Now tell me, girls, are you into ruched dresses?
