So you think your tangerine orange pieces will turn last season in fall? Wrong! Don´t throw them at the back of the closet because they´ll transition your wardrobe effortlessly the moment summer is over. Christian Blanken in his Fall 2012 RTW runway show showed how to wear orange as a standout piece for fall.
The idea is not to wear any other bright color except tangerine, and you don´t want to go orange from head to toe either, just choose one separate or cover up to standout against neutral colored pieces. Here´s more on how to do it …
Go Tangerine on Top
Look for a tangerine top in style and cut that flatter your shape – short or long-sleeved, round neck or deep v-neck, your choice. Then searched for a sequined mini skirt (if you already have the perfect one, congrats) to go along with it. If your top isn´t cropped, wear it tucked in, preferably blousy to give a definition between your separates. You need those flattering snake-skin pumps to complete the look.
Go Tangerine Bottom
We´re loving colored jeans, yes, but this time we´re leaning more for airy no-denim orange pants to rock. Dig down in your closet a gray short-sleeved top or tank top to accompany your statement pants and get those animal print pumps, snake-skin or leopard to polish the look.
Show That Gorgeous Tangerine Jacket
Almost every girl here in our small city has a tangerine jacket, but I never saw anyone wearing it this way. Throw over this head-turning blazer over a dark monochromatic mini-dress or over a mono or printed (neutral colors, please) short jumpsuit. If you´re layering the tangerine cover up with a monochrome, go for snake print pumps. But if it´s between tangerine and printed, opt for a black or gray footwear.
