Do you love wearing skirts in spring? In this post I`m sharing some of the fabulous style of skirts that are trending for spring 2021.
Although we´re only nearing the end of fall 2020, I`m already planning my spring wardrobe for 2021. Ha! It´s either because I`m excited to start my spring garden or there´s just so many fabulous spring pieces I´ve seen online that I can´t help but prep my spring wardrobe early.
Okay, to be clear I haven´t literally started preparing my spring wardrobe. I´ve just started the planning phase. And as fashion enthusiasts like you know, the planning phase includes watching the trends and identifying which trends will suit our lifestyle and our taste.
The planning of my spring wardrobe phase also includes inventory. Which styles of clothes do I already have and which trends are similar, if not identical, to the pieces that I already own?
And then it includes brainstorming too. What are the new ways I can wear my old pieces? How can I mix my old pieces with the new ones? I also gather style inspirations from the internet. Which ways of wearing clothes do I want to try this spring?
Last night I´ve been looking on skirts for spring. Some of the trending pieces I already have; at least something similar, but there are pieces that I want to try next spring. So I`m sharing some style looks that I´ve been eyeing this week. This post is all about skirts.
Table of Contents
Micro Check Pull-on Mini Skirt

I have a several check blazers in varried lengths and silhouettes, but I don´t have a check mini skirts. This look from BB Dakota made me want to have a mini skirt with micro check to go with my blazers. I really like the idea of hem on hem. In this look, the jacket has to be 1 inch longer than the skirt. How fabulous is this look?
Sequin Fringe Midi Skirt
Also available in black.
Another piece that´s still missing in my wardrobe is a fringe skirt. I love the idea of wearing a rose gold fringed midi skirt with some muted colors such as beige and white. Fringes are often over-the-top but this particular skirt is done with elegant taste. At least wearing this won´t make me look like I`m off to coachella.
A-Line Silhouettes
A-line silhouettes are often really cute. I love in particular this light blue high-low skirt from Lulus. It has flowy ruffles and a lovely asymmetrical. But of course it´s cute to not be noticed quickly. It´s flew off the rack but XS size is still available.
I also like the simplicity of this black midi A-line skirt. It´s almost like a twirl skirt. When I was younger I had a vintage midi skirt with similar silhouette but it was with much higher quality. It was lined. I deeply regret not holding on to the vintage pieces that I got from my mom. The newer skirts I´ve bought were in much lesser quality.
Smock Treatment Striped Skirt

This one is all about being girly. I have a similar skirt but in gray and greenish gray stripes. I love wearing it with fitting jackets or cardigans that hit just before the ruffles.
Starry Night Skirt

Sequins and Embellishments are one of the 7 trends for spring 2021. The good news there´s more freedom in the way to rock this trend.
Personally I`m reserved when it comes to blings because I don´t want to wear something that´s over-the-top. However, this look from BB dakota really resonated with me. I can team a sequined midi skirt with a simple white t-shirt or blouse. The simpler the top the better it is in toning down the bling! Partnered with a pair of sexy high heels, suddenly the bling from a sequined midi skirt doesn´t seem overwhelming at all.
Pleated Midi Skirt
And then we have the pleated midi skirt. I have a few in my closet so I don´t need to buy another piece. Unless probably if it´s such a gorgeous striped or polka dot, but this look from Closet London gave me an idea on how to wear it in spring or summer when the weather is warm and I don´t want to be fully clothed – wear it with a silk camisole top.
So these are some of the fashion ideas that I`m currently brainstorming on for spring 2021. What about you, creative fashionistas? Which style of skirt is likely to join your spring 2021 wardrobe?
