Multicolor Print Maxi Dress, $41.99
I used to think that if I could get a pretty maxi dress for less, why bother spending money for an expensive dress. If you go for the cheaper ones, you´ll have more options in your closet; but if you buy the high-priced, you´ll have fewer. I´ve seen in many cases that once you place the expensive and the more affordable side-by-side, you could hardly pin point their price difference especially if their wearer carries the dress really well.
But this mentality changed after I gambled on a very gorgeous maxi dress which I couldn´t resist having in spite of it requiring an arm and a leg. The quality is superb and the feel of its material on my skin is priceless, not to mention it´s very beautiful. I realized that spending more on a dress is not about showing people that you´re wearing an expensive creation, it´s more about the experience. After all, you wouldn´t want to always tell people how much your dress costs or its brand even if they don´t have any idea. It´s just your gift to yourself.
Floral Print Maxi Dresses
If I didn´t tell you their price, would you be able to tell upfront which one is almost half the price of the other? Both maxi dresses have floral print and both are very well-made. But their cut and style are different. The Nicole Miller maxi dress skims your figure from the top down to the hips before subtly flaring for more rooms on the skirt, a side slit highlights your left leg. It boasts an all-over ruching and wildflower print.
On the other hand, the Velvet women´s maxi dress tops its gorgeous print with a stretchable bust, slim waist-belt, and pleated detail on the middle of its skirt.
Color Block Maxi Dresses
Can you guess which dress is selling like hotcakes and is almost sold out? Here´s the clue, many women aren´t afraid of investing on this dress.
Both maxi dresses speak of colorblocking. The Plenty by Tracy Reese maxi dress is very attractive with its bright watercolor cubes, sweetheart neckline, tie waist and button detail.
But you can also don bright colors without going too bright. The Greylin Amanda maxi dress takes colorblocking with a less is more attitude. It tops its high-style silhouette by covering it with strategic colorblocking, using neon as a highlight to ivory white and deep, faded blue. Its front embroidery on top is divine.
Empire Waist Maxi Dresses
Here are two beautiful empire waist maxi dresses with prices that speak North and South. If you look closely, both has visible intersections on its large-scale pattern and both are empire waist. But while the costly dress sparks in bright iridescent green and features sexy spaghetti straps, the more affordable lets you don a baroque print and an elegant halter neck.
Halter Tie Maxi Dresses
And yet we know that there´s no way we´d ever fall short of gorgeous maxi dresses irrespective of our budget. Just take a look at this girly dresses with halter neck. Both require sensitive care, dry cleaning only. But while the lavish is made of pure silk, which promises utter coolness to the skin in summer, the more affordable is made of polyester.
Between the paisley-print with sparkly stones and the gleaming, metal hardware tribal print, which printed dress are you?
Answer my question honestly … if you´re to choose between two beautiful maxi dresses, would you splurge or save?
