One of the significant changes in my personal style this fall is I´m wearing mostly ankle boots instead of tall boots. Normally, once the temperature hits below 10 degrees C, I immediately pull out the knee-high boots. But not this season. Even if the freezing temperature arrived earlier than usual, I´m rocking the ankle boots and that´s because I figured ways to keep myself cozy and warm even in booties.
Inspired by my fall style, here are three outfits I created featuring edgy ankle boots that will encourage you to swap the knee-highs for ankles before it snows.
1. Houndstooth and Check Knit Sweater + Martini Ankle
When it comes to sweaters, I favor the relaxed fit. But for this French Connection sweater, I´m liking both its cozy fit and its mixed check and houndstooth patterns. This sweater is perfect to go with L.A.M.B.’s Martini Booties because they match. A pair of black leather-like skinny jeans is great to tamper the edginess of oxblood hue.
2. Sleeveless Illusion Neck and Back Dress + Black Ankle Boots
Mirroring this season´s trendy shades of wine, I´m loving this sleeveless illusion neck and back dress in crushed berry. I love that it can be worn both in summer and in fall. For cold season, layer it with black tights and black sequined cardigan, then complete with a pair of pointed-toe bootie with scalloped topline. When you´re going to strut it outdoor, throw over a black trench coat.
3. Fair Isle Sweater + Yolandah Boots
This pair of Yolandah boots, featuring a block of taupe solid and snake print, inspired me to create a layering of earthy hues. It looks great with a fair isle sweater, a birch multi stripe short, and a Bordeaux handbag. I would add some brown tights on colder days.
Now over to you, ladies, are you into fierce ankle boots this season?
