I and my husband have different tastes when it comes to home design and decors. I love antique pieces while he likes everything modern. I would like my house to have a touch of modernity with a strong essence of French elegance and uniqueness of antiques. But I´ve got to admit, the most beautiful antique pieces are expensive.
Although we eventually settled with modern furniture for our home, I don´t give up on my dreams of someday being able to style my home with gorgeous pieces that are close to my heart. If I have the resources, I´d start investing on antique bedroom furniture.
French Veneers Royal Canopy Bed, Complete Set $6,225.24
FenchBarney Caisie Antique White Genuine Marble Set, $3,945.40
I´ve been coveting these complete sets of French bedroom furniture. They include a canopy bed, a dresser, two night stands, chest, media chest, bench, and mirror.
I lean more towards white shade, whether it´s wood or marble, because it´s brighter. I don´t like a dark house, it looks sad if not depressing. The only time I´d consider a dark antique is when my walls are painted with white or covered with bright wall paper.
Jessica McClintock Romance Drawer Dresser, $685.00
I definitely love to have a fancy drawer dresser. I want it in white, sand, blush, or light pink. Right now I make use of black marble four-drawers which I received as a wedding gift. Although I´m impressed with its modern elegance, it does not inspire me like a vanity antique dresser would.
Jewelry Armoire Queen Anne Style, Antique Cherry, $289.25
Unique center or corner drawers are small details that you can add to your home for a surefire punch of interest. They´ll make a huge difference on your interior design.
Bobkona St. Croix Collection Vanity Set, $209.73
Here´s a very affordable vanity set with stool. You can play beautilicious here and the experience would be one of a kind. It´s like being transported to wonderland.
My dream is that one day I can design my bedroom with this beautiful antique furniture. But for now, I and hubby have to work on saving enough for a new house.
How about you girls? Do you fancy French styles and unique furniture too?
